Carolina Business Services was founded in 1981 by Cecil and Lee Reid as a tax preparation firm in Spindale, North Carolina. Their daughter, Sandra Shahan, worked alongside them from the beginning, preparing tax returns and building relationships with clients.

In 2005, Sandra took over ownership of the business. She's been preparing taxes for over 44 years—the entire life of Carolina Business Services. Today, a third generation of the family works with Sandra, and they're committed to continuing the tradition of personal service and expertise that clients have come to expect.

From 1981 to Today
When Carolina Business Services opened in 1981, clients came to the office with shoeboxes of receipts. Today, you can upload your documents securely through our online portal and work with us from anywhere. The technology has changed—our commitment to personal service and accuracy hasn't.
